Hamlet & Ophelia as lovers?

Where Hamlet and his beloved Ophelia ever lovers. There are many lines that indicate them as so, especially after Ophelia goes insane. Her songs speak of a man promising to web if a woman goes to his bed. Is she just saying this as a general statement or does it apply her her life personally. Any answers or comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

(I personally think they were)
