Reference

The reference is to the ghost of the character Banquo (BanQuo) who shows up uninvited to dinner and tweks Macbeth's guilty conscience. You should read Macbeth -- it's short, has a terrific, basically linear, plot, wonderful language -- enjoyable even to a science jock!
