I have to do an oral exam on Othello soon and I do not know how to pronounce the names Othello and Desdemona in English.
Is the "th" Othello pronounced like in other or seperately as t and h? And where is the stress in Desdemona?
Thank you very much! |

| Yes. |
The "th" in Othello is pronounced as in "other"--"O-thel-o." It is not separated into "Ot-hell-o" The second syllable is stressed.
In "Desdemona" stress the "mo" syllable. |
