The Cast's the Thing!

What do you mean when you consider the actors cast in Branagh's Hamlet "Incompetent?" It seems to me that Stacey is the type of Shakespeare fan who feels to be a Shakespearean actor, one must have a British accent and decades of formal training. Now I must agree with her comments about Jack Lemmon, he did appear quite stiff and uncomfortable with the language, but I found nothing lacking in Billy Crystal's or Robin Williams' performances. They were very effective in their portrayals of the First Gravedigger and Osric. Lighten Up!
