He was an old cynic, wasn't he?

Good quote. I never heard it. Not as good as my favorite
Twain quote, though: "Clothes make the man. Naked
people have little or no influence in society." As for
YOU, "J. T. J.", Twain doubted everything in his old age;
he was not just a skeptic but a cynical old grouch. Ever
read "The Mysterious Stranger"?
