What is the bit about the "second-best bed?"

It’s in Shakespeare’s will. He left it to his wife, Anne. Much nonsense is made of this bed. What seems to have happened is that Shakespeare left his house and all its furnishings to his elder daughter, Susanna, and her husband. The arrangement seems to have been that Susanna would look after her mother in that house. This appears to have been what the two women wanted. The second-best bed was an after-thought and is practically meaningless.
